Cielo did a “Photo365” project where she took a photo a day for the year, for SEVEN years, from 2008 to 2015. The photo Apple found was part of that Photo-a-day project.

You probably have a camera in your pocket. Maybe it’s on your desk right now, or next to you on the treadmill, or mounted in your car. Most of us use our phones to take pictures these days, and some of us—not me, but maybe you—are actually good at it. Well, today we have a story that is all about a woman who did a Photo 365 project for seven years, and one of those photos led to something very special. Cielo now has two classes and has been able to make about $500/month on average, and her goal is to make $1,000 a month on the side. She’s also going to host full classes on her own site and put “mini” classes on Skillshare to promote the full class on her site. Skillshare is one of the starter platforms I mentioned in our 2nd Extended Cut, and Cielo is following what is usually a good path with those: getting started there because it’s quick and easy, but then building her own site and developing courses that she’ll host herself because she’ll probably end up making more money that way and won’t be completely dependent on another company’s platform.- The Storyographist: Learn more about Cielo and the photography courses she offers on her website!
