What It's About
They had just put on a great cooking class. Too bad no one will remember it.

Episode 1805
I believe we can learn as much from failure as we can from success, if not more. It’s with this principle in mind that I offer you a weekly segment called Failure Friday: a collection of short stories all about mistakes, missteps, disasters, and of course, failure. Just like our Throwback Thursday segment, you’ll hear directly from side hustlers who have struggled to get something off the ground. They’ll tell you a short story of something that went very wrong. The stories will vary, but often it starts with an idea, what they thought would happen and what really happened—and of course, what they learned. Today’s short story features Jedd (!!!!) from Salem, Oregon and beyond. Among other things, Jedd is my side hustle sidekick. He works with me on all elements of the show and also as a core member of the WDS team. But today you’ll hear about another of his roles. When international travel slowed down, his online cooking club side hustle took off. We featured it in Episode #1464: Cooped Up Nomads Start Online Cooking School. It did so well that more than 200+ members tuned in for a big call—and Jedd forgot one little important detail that was actually quite important. What did he learn from this experience, as well as another time when an ice storm took out his entire town’s connectivity before another meeting.
