Episode 932
THEMES & TAKEAWAYS: We’ve just finished week 29 of Season III! This week, we looked at a home haircut invention that goes on to earn $2 million, a handkerchief hustle that also reaches 7-figures a year, and a jailhouse medic who starts his own mobile clinic. But first, let’s jump right in and talk a bit more about going from a hobby to a hustle. Yesterday I mentioned: "When you go from hobby to side hustle, you might be surprised at how much time you need to spend on tasks that have nothing to do with the hobby itself." The jewelry designer in that story (Ep. 931) mentioned that designing her products takes roughly 5% of her time, and the remaining 95% is all about production, promotion, pitching, or working on the business model. I sometimes feel like this as a writer: I spend far less time actually writing than in doing all of the other things associated with writing! To hear more on this topic as well as our audio update from Brittany Finkle who we featured in Year 1 of Side Hustle School, tune into the Weekly Recap!WHERE ARE THEY NOW: Today, we have an update from Brittany Finkle who was featured on the show in Ep. 184.
