It’s also a new month! Warren Buffet’s “Five Goals” Rule... This week I've been thinking a lot about an apocryphal story attributed to Warren Buffet. The short version is that he suggests you make a list of your top 25 goals, then select your top 5. From there, instead of merely "prioritizing" your top 5 and working on the others whenever you can—an approach that seems logical, and what many of us would do—you consider the 20 to be the enemy of the 5. In other words, according to this theory you should focus ONLY on your top 5 goals, ignoring all the others even if they seem like good ideas. The 5 Goals strategy is a reminder that it’s not what you do, it’s what’s you don’t do, that drives your productivity and performance.
